Ok, so we have someone on the White Wolf forum called Balefire47 who happens to claim that the 4th game has been spoken about at ICC (International Camarilla Covention?). Post is here.

Well, I've already made a post about this in the nWoD forum, and my chief concern is that it sounds.. well.. corny.

I don't think this would be something that WW would produce.

I mean, look at all the games they have done so far. When you hear the names, you immediately think "Wow, this would be so cool!"

Like Vampire, Werewolf, Mage, Changeling, Wraith..

Promethean.. First of all, the title doesn't say all that much. Granted, neither did Hunter or Mummy, but I still feel it leaves a lot to be desired.
Second, even if you just get told the basic concept (a game about constructs) it doesn't quite jive.. All I think of when I hear that is "Wow, thats.. just stupid.."

I've put the topic here because this is the White Wolf forum; that's where it goes. Second, please stop jumping the gun. This may well be bullshit, we simply don't know yet. You can't gleam hardly anything from the name other than an overall general theme. We don't know enough about it to say if it's silly, corny or if it leaves a lot to be desired or not. Hell, we don't even know the full name of it anyway. Let's wait and be patient to see what comes from this.

Morland: It's fine that you closed my thread, as long as the reasoning behind it was that having it here would increase the likelyhood of an official WW response. I can respect that, and I even agree to a certain extent.

What I do not like all that much, is being told to shut it. Now, I know were being civil here, but I am voicing a legitimate concern shared by many. If this is indeed going to be the 4th game, I think I am as entitled to my opinion as those who think this thing will be the best thing since sliced bread.
For the moment, this is pure speculation, and I reserve the right to be sceptical and voicing my sceptisism in this open, anonymous forum.

I suspect that if WW did let loose some information, it won't be very long until they update their site, or we start getting feedback from various people who've attended a show. All in good time, though, I just hope they do away with those visions in my head about the movie Men in Black where the little green alien was inside the head of the 7 foot Lurch guy.

I think it's cool, I've always wanted Transformers the RPG.


But really, how is this supposed to work with the players beginning as mortals? Would they get a brain transfer or something? And how exactly are they supposed to be wolves among sheep as supers are in most games?

I'd like to be very surprised here... if not, for what we know, this game would be the greatest mistake of WW, well, not counting Street Fighter

I had jokingly made a crack to Beaver Dan about how since this game was suppossed to be be something we hadn't seen before about all we had left was Frankenstein. I swear to god I in no way shape or form thought they would really ever do it in beyond maybe a suppliment. I am really not sure what I think about this. Of course right now, its way to early to say anything. I mean when I heard about Atlantis/Mage I blanched and was convinced that it was going to be horrible. This could be suprisingly good.

Honestly, if White Wolf is going to make a 4th game, I would be really impressed that it is something that is actually completely new. I would rather see something new and creative that may fail that another redo like Changeling, Demon or Wraith.

That being said, there is no proof. None what so ever.

Joking aside, Frankenstein is a cool book. I'm not sure how that'd translate to an RPG though.

I think it's a neat possibility. Of course, even if everything said here is true, it's still *way* too early to make any decisions about its merit.
