Call to MET STs for the coming Month of MET
#1

In 06 we here at Shadow n Essence will running a Month of MET for the first time. (At least to the best of my knowledge.) One of the things that I want to run that month is a weekend of LARPing across the SnE World.
The plan, as it now stands, would be for me to write up a one shot scenario with pregenerated characters and get STs from across the planet to run that exact scenario with the SnErs and LARPers that are local to them. What I envision, ideally, is 5 to 15 games playing on the same day using the same characters running the same story using the same soundtrack.
I believe this would be a great way to bring together a number of people to play and strengthen the community. However, for this to work I need volunteers to run a one shot.
The basic details of the game is that it will be a NWOD Mortals game focusing around a ghost story. The cast will be 25 players with there being the need for two or three NPCs. The scenario will run about 3 to 4 hours.
What I will provide will be an MP3 music CD that will include songs and a second CD that will have the complete character packages plus a full ST package detailing the story and the CD.
What the STs would provide would be players, paper, a location in your home city and, of course, your time and effort.
If this is something that you would be interested in, please let me know. Either PM me or email me (dolston AT shadownessence DOT com). I will be happy to provide details and info to those of you who contact me. But I won't reveal the entire story until I get a commitment.
Thanks for the consideration. And I look forward to hearing from many of you.

I asked for this just as soon as I registered to SnE! Dream come true, this is!
Shame I am just under the 25 player requirement...
Must... go... recruit...
Glad you like. You would be the fifth or sixth city for this which is amazing. For recruiting, I am hopping to get SnErs who ar close to your home base to be able to come and play in your game if there is non going on in their home city. Will be good.
Send an email to me at the dolston at shadownessence dot com addy so I can keep things all together.

It will work with less. I promise. It could probably work with more but myself and Meena are only going to be writing up 25 characters.
That would be amusing. SnE in the Guiness Book of records would be cool.

Ya. Recruit other STs and players by tempting them with immortal geekdom.

And I think it could draw players too, if we mention that it's a world-wide LARP that is also an attempt to get into the book.

I wanna play - not run!
But sending them the info will give them all a chance to prep it without me being tempted to read it... Just sos you knows, the ST is very interested in participating - I told her about it on her lunch break today.

If I FWD it to her and the rest of the Staff, they might not read it.
Since I am a player now, they tend to grimmace when emails come their way via my outbox.
Don't know why....

Let me know what you need from me in order to do this.
thanks!
Nifty! I will hopefully have a lot more info come Mid-January. December ate too much time to do much plotting and scheming.

I have recently started a new job so I am running a little behind. The Month of MET isgoing to be June. This means I want to have the package se out by the first week of April so everyone can get the info.
The basic plot line has been worked out and the game line has been chosen. The game will be for 25 PCs with staff of about 5.
The premise is a good, old fashioned ghost story. The PCs are people on a bus who break down outside of a roadhouse. Hilarity ensues over a preset time limit. The game will be run using NWOD MET as the only book needed. If I can swing it I am going to try to find a prize that can be drawn at each location. No promises on that as it is money out of my pocket and I will want to see if I can get it as a deal. We will see.
So that is the plan so far. The hard part is now creating the characters and then the soundtrack which will be amazing if I can work it out.

One way or another I'm going to be in this!
