Now the Heart liked to have its dark stories told and so it chose an individual as its Storyteller. forced to witness each macabre event but unable to interfere directly or even indirectly if he didn't want to be killed and replaced (the premise of a story and the reason a new modern Character gets the job).
That Storyteller geezer made a Great Eshu. Trapped by an ancient entity with goals and morals completely alien to humanity, forced to be a witness and to tell the stories to a Mostly unbeliving audience. Eventually sacrificing himself to save others after spending a long time carefully manipulating others into learning the truth of the danger without breaking the rules of his persoan geas.

I suppose it would be cheating to say Sinbad, from any of the old Sinbad films! After all, the Changeling writers quite clearly had him at the top of their minds when they invented the kith. ; )

Hey, and I could see Jame Bond being an eshu. Travelling all over the world, getting into one adventure after another, getting all the women but never settling down...and with a Nocker to provide him loads of cool gadgets.

Definatly! !
And I guess it bears saying again; Indiana Jones! And Jack Ryan, the Tom Clancy character from 'The Hunt for red October', 'clear and present danger' and 'Patriot games'. He makes a good Eshu. As Does Dirk Pitt, the Clive Cussler Character from 'Sahara' and a bunch of other stories.
Finally, the Character played by Christian Bale in 'Reign of fire. If Van Zan and his Americans are Redcap monster hunters as I've said before, the leader of the survivours is a definate Eshu. He witnessed the first Dragon awakening and his knowlledge and constant moral boosting have kept the ragtag humans alive. His knowledge is what saves the world in the end, because he kept the story/wisdom alive. There is even the scene where he and his friend rip off star wars and tell the story of the white knight and the dark knight to entertain the kids in the castle and their repeating the three lessons of existence is what secures the species (the kids) survive.

Sorry, I think it's a great movie. One of the best B movies made in quite a while. Like Dog Soldiers its a great role players film!!
After having to sit through Narnia and war of the Worlds recently though I'd probably even say the matrix was watchable, my Film Fu has been so badly knackered.

Plot holes? you'd need a plot for that?
as the most cynical and critical person I know I can't say I've ever noticed any plot holes in it. And I notice Plot holes in just about everything!!

No I didn't as it is explained in the movie. he is the only Male, not the only dragon, he breeds with the females and thats how little Dragons are made.
