Okays, this goes along with my post in the Vampire: the Masquerade section of the forums. But dealing with the tribes of W:tA. Go into detail about what you think a good tribe would be. How it would fit into the World of Darkness. Explain the tribe as White-Wolf has done with the present day tribes. Again, this is another one.. on where we will have to use our minds.

What about a giraffe? Could there actually be some use for them or how about monkeys?
I think a giraffe would be cool looking , monkeys are just for playing around. I think of chimp and I just think it would be an awesome breed.

A tribe eh? Well, let's see. If it's ok, I'll stick to wolves, since it's pretty much all I know.
Tribe: Wind Stalker
Like the Children of Gaia, the Wind Stalkers live amongst nature. They don't particularly care for the cities because they are highly atuned to nature and it's spirits. Being in the city for too long causes them great headaches and very foul tempers.
The Wind Stalker tribe is not a true member of the Nation, so little is known about it. Some believe that they were once part of both the Star Gazers and Children of Gaia tribes, but they broke away to form a new faction. Each member is branded upon their first change, calling to everyones attention that they do very well exist.
**Ok, corny corny corny, but I tried. Like it or not, makes no never mind to me.

Now about a tribe I have always thought that tribes bound to specific elements would be cool, here goes.
Scorched ones:
Mainly born in the deserts of the world these elusive garou have broken off from the so called "chosen" tribes of gaia. They do not fear the other gaian garou nor do they hide their presence for like all the others they feel that gaia has specifically chosen them for the task of warriors. Started in the Sahara desert when a pack consisting of a few Get of Fenris and Silent Striders these garou are not only well rounded in battle, but have a certain attunment to the land they are born and raised in. Whenever a Scorched one is born, a hot iron, with their symbol is burned into their stomachs. Although fairly new they have been seen around California, Las Vegas and anywhere else there is a desert.

I've seen stats for Simo weredolphins, and heard or had ideas about for Larani wereseagulls- the Corax's oceanic equivalent, Cthuluan werecephalapods (squids, octopi, etc), Ottar wereotters, and Selkie wereseals. I had an idea for werewhales- the Moby, but they would have been killed off by the Whaling industries after being desimated during the War of the Rage.

Raptorii
Werebirds of prey, Gaia's "air force"
With the exception of the Caracara who traditionally breed out of South America, and the Sagitarii who pretty much stay in Africa, all Raptorii have kin- and a presence, on every continent, but Antarctica (though it is rumored that some hardy Pandionii have taken up residence in their battle against Qyrl). Some are sworn to the Hengeyokai Beast Courts.
The Raptorii, with the exception of the Tytostrigii Tribe and the Nighthawk faction are creatures of Helios. Therefore it is Gold that hurts the Raptorii. Destroying one can become an expensive proposition. The Tytostrigii and the Nighthawks revere Luna and are allergic to Silver.
Crinos and Saurian forms incites delirium (they would carry off human children during the Impergium, and feed them to their chicks. They were against ending the Imperium, however are too honorable- with the exception of certain vultures- to go back on the agreement). In order to "soar sideways" the Raptorii must soar into the sky in her bird form towards the sun- or in the case of the Tytostrigii, towards the moon. Only after much effort and soaring to a high altitude does Helios- or Luna- grant the birds worthy of entering the spirit world. They always enter the Umbra through the Aetherial Realm and exit in the sky. This is a bit detrimental to homids, who must first learn to fly before they can learn gifts, or have a mentor summon the spirits for them to learn from. After many such journeys into the Umbra, the Raptorii can learn the Gift- Walking Between the Worlds at level 4, except for the Caracara who have through various means cajoled it out of spirits at level 2. Also, each species of bird has it's own language- so does each tribe. These can be learned by other tribes, but it is quite difficult, and you must find a willing teacher. The Raptorii usually either learn a common language in a human or bird tongue or rely upon gifts like mindspeak or mental speak in order to communicate with one another when they form multitribal Aeries. The Raptorii begin play with 4 Gifts- 1 Breed Gift, 1 Auspice Gift, 1 Tribe Gift, and 1 Common Gift.
Raptorii are solitary hunters by nature, however after their first change, they group together for protection and to do more damage into groups called Aeries. The natural landscape / sacred place / Caern is also called an Aerie. Aerie refers to both the flock of raptors and their protectorate.
Breeds and breeding- All pairings of Raptorii and Raptorii, Raptorii and human, and Raptorii and raptor produce kinfolk. The only way new Raptorii can be created is by means of Spirit Egg (as with the Corax). These eggs are often hidden deep in the Umbra, and fiercely guarded. Pity the poor fools to come near a spirit nest! Near extinction does that to a species- very few eggs have been stolen or corrupted. There are no metis. Breeds are determined by the mother, or the mother's breed form. In the case of multitribal pairings, the chicks are of the mother's species- and tribe, but will have the father's coloring.
Like the Garou and the Rokea, the Raptorii's function is to be a warrior. They all are warriors. But along with tribal responsibilities, there are duties assigned to Auspices.

Imbued with a Raptor-spirit and when activated causes double damage to attacks done with the Raptorii's feet or foot talons. Raptor breed Chicks who's family has been murdered often take these as a reminder to exact their vengeance.)
Lizard's Tongue (Level 3, Gnosis 3, a dried, preserved tongue of any reptile, filled with a spirit servent of dragon, that allows the Raptorii to speak the Dragon's Tongue, and communicate with Mokole' and other Raptorii who have such a Fetish.)
Feather of the Eagle Lords (Level 5, Gnosis 6. A feather to make this fetish must be taken from a Raptor, Soyala, Aquilla in his or her breed form, and imbued with some aerieal spirit. When activated, this fetish allows instant travel into anyplace within the Umbra. Can only be activated once, and then must be recharged in the Umbral Nest.)
Saurian Bone (A Fang Dagger, only the Raptorii prefer to use the fossilized claws and teeth of their dinosaur ancestors. Velociraptor Claws and T-rex teeth are often favorites.)
Talens
Great Eagle's Feathers (Similar to the Feather of the Eagle Lords, these feathers can only be taken from a Raptor, Soyala, Aquilla in his or her breed form, but it can imbued with any spirit servent of Gaia. In order to activate, must burn the feather (thus they are only good once) and chant the spirit's praises. Doing so will allow the Raptorii to step sideways, rather then having to fly him or herself to exhaustion before entering. These are great when you know you have to do battle in the Umbra, and don't want to be worn out ahead of time.)
The Lost and the Fallen
Gymnogypsii
The werecondors were decimated during the War of the Rage. Human encroachment finished them off. Still, some Raptorii hope that with the restoration of the Condors, their bird kin, the Gymnogypsii may be restored as well.

Rite of Circling (Level 4, Punishment, 3 Raptorii must fly around the target, hissing curses. The subject falls over and begins to slowly die, as if exposed to a large amount of Radiation. If really successful, this can kill the target. 1 sucess = injured 2 to 4 = incapacitated, 5 or more = dead. A failure doesn't effect the target. A botch may claim the life of one of the Rite enactors.)

A sample of Stereotypes
Arnaud, a Homid Aquilla Natsuko sizes up his rivals...
Accipitri- "They are good warriors for their size."
Buteonii- "Ideas are great, now show me the practical applications"
Caracara- "These scum sleep with the Coragypsii."
Cathartii- "I'm sorry, did I say the Caracara were defiled, they are nothing compared to these bloody vultures. They live in filth and mate with filth too."
Circii- "Sure, sing of what you saw, then fly off so we can kill if for you! Bloody cowards!"
Elanimilvii- "I'm sorry, but, I can't take them seriously. Revenge is an issue that's far too big for them. Best leave it to the big birds, pals."
Falconii- "Listen to them when it comes time to recruit more soldiers. Otherwise let them collect dust in the corner."
Pandionii- "They shun our company for that of fish. Let the Wyrm have them."
Tytostrigii- "Sure you can recite the lore of the world well.. But can you fight?"
Coragypsii- "DIE!!!"
Bastet- "Cats and birds don't typically get along."
Corax- "We don't get along too well. In breed forms They're afraid we'll steal their eggs or eat them. But once they get to know you, we can have a beneficial partnership. Remember that though they soar in different skies, they are our kin.
Garou- "Kill 'em all, let Gaia sort 'em out."
(Some of thel less martial Raptorii may interact (w/ caution) w/ tribes such as the Black Furies, Children of Gaia, the Pure Ones (Uktena and Wendigo), Silent Striders- and occasionally with Red Talons (of the Lodge of the Predator Kings Camp), Shadow Lords and Silver Fangs. They were on great terms with the Bunyip and would be still if any of the same tradition survived the genocide.)
Mokole'- "Our honored relatives. A younger fool might be disrespectful to them, saying put them 'in the home' If you encounter one to mock Gaia's Memory, then pluck their feathers out!"
Nagah- "The snakes are okay, unless they try to eat your eggs, or try to Judge you. The Mokole' claim they are relatives, but I think the blood is pretty thin. If they try to judge you, show them why our birdkin calls them 'lunch'."
Ratkin- "More lunch."
(Though the Cathartii are good friends with the Ratkin)
Some Lexicon
Aerie- 1. A Flock / Parliment of Raptorii. 2. The protectorate of said flock
The Blind Ones- The Human Race
Fish that Bite Back- The Rokea, frequently used by the Pandionii
Flies into the ground- a polite or comical way of saying someone crashlanded.
The Flightless- Homids, especially those of rank 0 or newly rited homids.
Honored Cousins- The Mokole'
Kid Brother- a colloquialism for the Corax
Lunch- Derogatory term for Nagah
Lizard, Spider, and Snake- the Raptorii's own terms for the Wyld, the Weaver, and the Wyrm. The above listed gifts would be refered to as Sense Snake for example rather than sense Wyrm when talking w/ other Raptorii.
Nest- 1. a Caern, 2. An Umbral glen where spirit eggs are kept and protected.
Shining Eyes- the Bastet
Snacks- Derogatory term for Ratkin
Soar Sideways- to step sideways
Whelp- Derogatory term for Garou
Wind Riders- another term for the Raptor breed

The forms of coastal Claws- they do a lot of swimming, hunting fish and penguins. Their coats are like a penguin's tux- black back, white front. They have webbed feet, and oily fur that further helps insulate them. Few survive long out of Antarctica for those who see them at best think them Ronin, at worst BSDs or other wyrmy or bane ridden, or defiled creatures.
I've also heard of Simo weredolphins, Larani wereseagulls (oceanic equivalents of the Corax), Cthuluan werecephalapods (squids, octopi, ect, most are now Wyrmy creatures), Ottar wereotters, and Selkie wereseals.
Other Bastet tribes I've heard about- Dasyan (Marsupius Quoll, Native Australian Cat, a marsupial not a true cat). The Smilodon (weresabertooth tigers)- formerly known as the Khara, a tribe that fell to the Wyrm before the BSDs. Trying to restore their cat breed by stealing sabertooth tiger from Technocracy or cybertooth tiger from Iteration X. Seen among BSDs, and their allies. Most Bastets don't realize some survive- in fact they remember the Khara as an honorable and noble tribe. Only the Bubasti know the truth, and wage a Secret War against the corrupted tribe.
Here's a link I propose between the 2.
"Smilodancers"- The bridge between the 2 species, some corrupted Ajaba. Some of the old stock fallen to Harano, and some freshly made by interbreeding between Smildon and BSDs.
Have an idea for a Glasswalkers Camp- The Strangelove Builders, have been preparing ever since the 1950s for the Apocalypse. Constructing Underground Shafts to protect kinfolk, and specimans of Gaia- share the Hengeyokai idea of the Cycle of Ages.. but intend to aide in the survival of Gaia's creatures by means of technology. Another part of this group have established Caerns on the surface of the moon and Mars as bases of operations to take back Gaia, in case the Wyrm wins the War. They have found to their dismay, Moonbase Pentex, and are doing their damndest to saboutage their operations. They know special Gifts to help survive the adverse conditions on the Moon and Mars. They have even begun to cultivate plants, and build hogan like huts around their protectorates. They have discussed with Rokea a move to Europa- and then had to escape into the Umbra lest be devoured by angry weresharks. They are on good terms with the Hengeyokai and the Ratkin.

The Wise Ones
During the War of the Rage, some Mokole' in grief and dispair, and wanting to avenge their betrayal turned to the Wyrm. They sought refuge in Malfeas, and thus began this twisted, insane Mokole' Stream. The Wise Ones do not see themselves as having human blood. They don't see themselves as crocodiles, or other lesser lizards either. They see themselves as Saurians. The proud Dinosaur line themselves. In many ways they are like the Red Talons in views of fanaticism and want of genocide and mastery of the other races of Earth.
Though the memory of the Mokole' is long, parts are forgotten. They have forgotten of the Wise ones, as have almost all the others. This suits their purposes just fine. They are the ones responsible for the attempts to seal off the Pangaea realm from the other Umbral Travelers, for they intend to use it as their base of operations from which to conquer the Umbra, and through the Umbra destroy the spirit components of the mammals who they despise- in the name of the Great Serpant (the Wyrm). The entire population is fertile Metis that can't change out of their Archid forms (it is rumored that the Wise Ones taught the BSDs the Rite of the Fertile Mule, in exchange for some favor- it must have been a BIG one, since the Wise Ones hate all Mammals- even mammals that are also servants of the Great Serpent, the bringer of Entropy). They all have a 6th claw, which acts as an opposible thumb. Most are twisted and insane, cannibalism is even more common place then among the Dancers, for in the dark Den realms and underground hives that they live in all they can prey upon are each other.
Only the Bastet, in their quests for secrets have learned about them. A Secret War is being raged, led by 4 Tiberii Bastet (Rhiow, Urrah, Arhu, and formerly Saash (a tourtoishell, feline who had some Simba and Khan blood) gave her life so that they could rescue more young Wise Ones from Dancing the Spiral, and now Sifh’ah, Arhu’s long lost sister). These Bastets are of great power. They are joined and aided by a Ronin of the Wise Ones, a T-rex named Ith.
Through their efforts, the next generation of Wise Ones was prevented from Dancing the Spiral, and these- greatful to be out of the Hives to the point of Martyrdom- Also War Against the Wise Ones, who are still Legion.
Especially chosen Warriors of the Wise One Tribe can reck havoc, again and again- it will appear you defeated it, and the bodies lying there, when all of a sudden, one that looks just like it will appear and begin murder and mayhem. Through Gifts from the Wyrm, at the moment of death, can negate reality, and continue fighting, in a new body that materializes above the old. They will not die until the Wyrm tires of them- then they just disintigrate, all their deaths cathcing up with them at once. These warriors also have gifts of camouflage. They can pretend to be say in a mural with a dinosaur on it, a sculpture of a dinosaur, or if in a museum, mounted dinosaur bones. A Wise One would be a great antagonist for packs who think they've already seen everything....

I found this online..
http://www.fortuneci...76/horizon. html
I added some more ideas to it...
Hakken- The Last uncorrupted vestige of the Shadow Lord Tribe, the Hakken these days are made up of Japanese Noble Families, and their wayward Double relatives they would have excommunicated before the desperate times. The Doubles often have more Lupus blood then the more Traditional Hakken.
Onza- The combined Foo Chun (made up of Asian Garou and Asian Simba Bastet) and Ajaba tribe that resulted after the world-wide population desimation. The Foo Chun-Ajaba are members of the Beast Courts, the Folk, and the Garou Nation, and are respected among all three for the secrets they possess and their prowess in battle. Today they are made up of werewolves, werehyenas, and werelions. They have the same culture and consider themselves one tribe. Like the Uktena Garou, they’re legacy is that of the dispossessed, and many different cultures make up their ranks.
Scab Walkers- enigmatic and little known tribe of the Weaver made up of fanatical survivors of the Glasswalker, Bone Gnawer, and New Bunyip tribes.
Silent Striders- After the Apocalypse and the destruction of Set and his Brood the Children of Anubis run fee along the desert sands once more. Allied with the Qualbasti, potent sorcerers of the Bastet, the Striders have retaken their Home Lands and reformed the Golden Empire under however the cowl of the Weaver/Wyrm's night.
Snow Stalkers- The Strange Surface dwellers, descendents of the lost Wendigo, Get of Fenris, and Claws of Ice tribes.
Stargazers- Primarily in the East. The Stargazer tribe is seen little outside of their Tribal Homeland in the East, but East and West are on better terms these days, as the Westerners are beginning to realize that the Hengeyokai were right- Gaia rose again that teamwork was the way to win. There have been many converts to the Stargazer, Foochunja, and the Hakken Tribes.
Warders of Life- This tribe is made up of survivors of the Glasswalkers, Red Talons, Children of Gaia, and Bone Gnawers
New Black Spiral Camp-
Gods of Shadow and Light- Silver Fangs and Shadow Lords that were corrupted by the Wyrm in their power struggles. Now They vie for power among the broken ranks of Black Spiral Dancers, and intend to lead them to victory against the Gaian Nation.
Bastet
Onza- Combined Pumonca-Balam tribe.
Khaneera- The Respected Leaders of catkind, they don’t think much of that title, and prefer to lead by example then by issueing orders. The Khaneera are the combined Khan and Bagheera tribe. They are simultaneously brilliant scholars and fierce warriors. Their catkin are the Dogla, also known as Tigards, they are natural hybrids of Tigers and Panthers that resulted from population desimation and Bastet interbreeding. Their coats come in many colors- all black, yellow and leopard spotted, white and leopard spotted, white and tiger-striped, orange and tiger-striped, and orange and leopard-spotted.
Morgrianican- The combined Celican and Mor Grian tribe.
Ocelyan- Combined Ocelotl-Dasyan Tribe
Foo Chun-Ajaba- The combined Foo Chun (made up of Asian Garou and Asian Simba Bastet) and Ajaba tribe that resulted after the world-wide population desimation. The Onza are members of the Beast Courts, the Folk, and the Garou Nation, and are respected among all three for the secrets they possess and their prowess in battle. Today they are made up of werewolves, werehyenas, and werelions, and their bizarre offspring that have the traits of all three. They have the same culture and consider themselves one tribe. Like the Uktena Garou, they’re legacy is that of the dispossessed, and many different cultures make up their ranks.
Qualbasti- The Bubasti and Qualmi survivors make one tribe.
Tiberii- One of the few tribes to survive unaffected by the Apocalypse.
Lost
Simba- Many Simba were corrupted by absolute power. Most of the Tribe now makes up the ranks of Smilodon. Most uncorrupted Simba have joined the Morgrianican or the Foochun-Ajaba Tribes
