I think this was the guy that won a gold medal the last Paralympics (that's what they are called here, at least) in the 200m with 21s97. It was awesome. The guy's a freakin' bullet...

There are various different types of cyborgs. Under the loosest definition - a person who uses technology to augment their body - I'm a cyborg because I wear clothes to keep me warm, glasses to improve my sight, and take vitamin pills to boost my immune system.
I find it remarkable that advances in prosthetics (and his willpower and talent) allow him to run so fast.

Not quite. The term cyborg implies a degree of integration between body and machine that mere glasses, clothes and medication do not offer.
This guy, however, is a cyborg. Or tried to be one anyway. Stelarc had a microphone grafted to a surgically implanted ear on his forearm. The body rejected it, but the idea wascool: He was planning to have the microphone transmit live recordings on the internet!

Wow. For a moment I thought this thread was about the fattest cyborg ever, which I thought was a rather harsh comment. Also, inappropriate considering the footage.
But that is rather impressive, that is.

One thing does not exclude the other, I have a friend who competes in both handicapped (his handicap is not physical) and "regular", he even won 3 medals (if I'm not mistaken) in the Sidney Special Olympics
Maybe it's not the same guy I was talking about, but it sure looks like him. Anyways, the guy is still awesome!
