So, outside of physical dimensions, how does the Awakening MET book differ from Mage the Awakening the tabletop book?

Awakening versus Mage the Awakening

MET: the Awakening is much more cleanly laid-out than the MtA tabletop book. Its Setting chapter doesn't lay out nearly as much information about the Atlantis myth, which is a good thing from the standpoint of getting to what actually matters in play.
The rules are greatly cleaned up; gone are the confusing (to some people; I always found them easy to understand) assigning of each rote to a specific order, added are listings for a spell's Primary Factor, combined are the tables for altering factors in Instant vs. Extended spellcasting. A lot of rules are clarified and a few alterations made (for example, Backlash now deals Lethal damage, and relinquishing a spell costs a point of Willpower--though making it undispellable costs a dot). A few spells, like Perfect Moment (Fate 2, helps you avoid fucking up conversation) are changed to better suit the MET system.
