I love bringing exorcists into my stories, but I was thinking of changing it up abit and getting to the exorcists to join up with my demon and the crew. As with all the lovely backstory of the fall, the age of wrath, and I am just trying to figure out a way to get the exorcists in on it which screaming "oh he's lying!". So any ideas?
How do your exorcists work? What do you do? How much do yours know? How do you get them in on the big secret?

What's the big secret? That there are demons running around loose? I think they already know.

Maybe the fact that they are busy excorcising you while you tell them about it?

I would honestly wonder how much the Exorcist would listen to a given demon. perhaps I have a somewhat biased perception of Exorcists, but are they not generally the most strongly faithful, even dogmatic, of their respective religions? It would seem to be almost a requirement when you are dealing with beings who supposedly will lie and manipulate you in order to stop you from doing that which you are there to do.
The books themselves don't really mesh with any established religious mythology even in the WoD. Given that, how likely is it that an Exorcist is going to listen, much less believe, anything a Demon says that contradicts their own dogma?

I meant about the past, the fall, the age of wrath, and all that jazz. I mean what stops a demon from sharing all this to his exorcists.
Even if the demon tells the exorcist the truth, (as the demon understands it - remember, their memories are somewhat mucked up by their experiences in Hell and being stuffed in a mortal body), why would the exorcist believe the demon? Most exorcists are trained to think that demons lie. In most religious beliefs, even in the World of Darkness, this is pretty much the essential character of demons. They are not nice critters. They lie, cheat, and manipulate people as a matter of course. Anybody who is trained as an exorcist isn't going to believe a demon about the sky being blue - after all, the demon is only telling you this to make you stop torturing it and to hurt you in some really devious way later on (at least, the exorcist generally tends to believe this and in many cases they would be right.)
