appropriateness of disciplines Is it rude to use them in game?

However, this seems like it would get anoying out of game, as well as possibly offending players.
What do you think about this?

Can the exact number of times you can use Awe without annoying the other players be quantified? I doubt it. Too much depends on fluid factors that you can't control, such as the mood of the players and their characters on a given game night, whether or not the Kindred in charge are likely to be vindictive about being subjected to Awe frequently, and whether or not other characters realize what you're doing. It might be"safe" to use Awe only once on a given game night, but three or more times on another.
Let us know how successful your attempts are! Those of us not currently playing in a MET game must larp vicariously through those of you who are.

In that respect, I have seen players at LARPs use their disciplines, not because it was in their character to do so, but because it was an opportunity to “win” at the situation. I don’t know what it is. Maybe they got benched one too many times in little league soccer and never scored? I dunno.
I always tell my players to go back to their character. Re-read the background. Once you get into the mindset of the character, you can figure out his motives and THEN you can decide whether using disciplines is in the best interest of the character. I don’t think any player would fault you for using a discipline as long as it is done in character.
I think this way when it comes to PC clash of wills too. (IE Is this conflict REALLY worth my effort?)

See, this is the problem, as using it all the time is perfectly in character for the character I have in mind.
I don't have the players guide.

Still, there's no way to pull of the supernatural presence that Majesty would give you.
I think that is a good direction to go for IMO
Good way:
“Ladies and Gentlemen! May I have your attention for a moment? It has come to my attention that not all of you have drinks. For those of you who don’t know I have some ghouls who have drunk a full bottle of my finest vintage Bordeaux in the chambers upstairs. For those of you who prefer the taste of something stronger, may I humbly direct you to my cellar. I am sure at least one of my blood dolls chained there can quench even the most discerning palate.”
Bad way:
“I got awe on! Hey! I said I got awe on! You gotta shut up and pay attention to me now!”

Oh come on! I just gave you gold there!
Okay, what are you playing exactly? Ventrue businessman? Toreador fashion mogul? Setite priest? What?

That depends if touching is or isn't allowed in your LARP

This seems more reasonable to me than employing the power on everyone your character meets -- because if you do that, I'll give you short odds that other characters will "somehow" discover that you're doing it and either take steps to make you rue it, or avoid you and warn others to do likewise, and that would be undesirable.
Have you considered your character's reaction if and when he earns a reputation as an "undue influencer?"

With that said, if using a certain discipline 'all the time' is something the character would do, i think its okay. There is a difference in using a single power all the time, and using the whole arsenal all the time! If anything, i feel its about the motivation for using something. Is it player motivated, or character motivated! (Watch out for those types who claim everything is character motivated though!).
And a fun application, that is, if the power in question is still the same, try using it once to draw attention in order to give somebody else a moment to for instance, steal something, wrestle free or simply steal the attention from a toreador type figure graving attention!
